Mary’s Place Informational Meeting

You are invited to join Mary's Place at their Bell Street location to hear about plans to convert their old day center facility into an emergency family shelter.

The City and County have initiated a coordinated intake system for families needing permanent housing. But in the first three months 2,000 families have called, looking for shelter, with room for only 200. Where are these mothers and children to sleep at night? The Board and staff at Mary's Place have been compelled to take action and will share their plans at this community informational meeting.

The recently-reconstituted Belltown Housing and Land Use Subcommittee is holding their inaugural meeting on August 21 in Room 123 at Antioch University.

Marshall Foster, Seattle City Planning Director, will be giving an update on the connections between Belltown and the Waterfront when the Viaduct comes down.

Belltown Chili Cook-Off For Founders Day

Seattle Founders Day Festival is hosting a Chili Cook-Off to raise funds for this year's festival. Eight neighborhood restaurants will bring their unique talents to this fun event.
