Waterfront Seattle continues to advance the Bell Street project towards completion. Over the past month crews have worked to complete the installation of cobblestone unit pavers, landscaping, and final paving and sidewalk reconstruction. Work on Bell Street will pause in mid-November, with full access to Bell St restored. Waterfront Seattle is on track to erect the historic Alaskan Way Viaduct sign bridge over Bell Street just east of Western Ave in early 2026. The careful work to restore the historic structure and prepare it for installation continues at an offsite location.

Contact Waterfront Seattle

Waterfront Seattle has a new website, which can be accessed at seattle.gov/waterfront. Up-to-date information on Bell St construction will be available on the Bell St project page on the new site.

If you have questions about construction, you may contact the project team at info@waterfrontseattle.org.
